The American Cream Draft
The Cop-pure-cure family is proud to announce that we have joined the efforts to preserve one of America's Critically Endangered Draft Breeds, the American Cream Draft Horse!
American Cream Draft Horses are one of the few, and oldest, draft breeds that originated in the United States and they are critically endangered. There are less than 400 horses in the registry and very few people even know these stunning horses exist.
Being a medium sized draft makes them an extremely versatile all around horse. Well known for their kind, honest disposition and unique coloring. The American Cream Draft is most commonly a cream champagne in color. The champagne gene gives them soft Amber colored eyes and pale skin. They often have a metallic sheen to their coat that glistens in light making them appear to sparkle, or glow. The coat varies from a light buttery cream champagne to a darker golden champagne. Though less common, ACDH can also be chestnut in color. Ranging from 15.2 - 16.3 and weighing 1500 - 2000lbs makes this breed an ideal all around horse.
In addition to the many benefits of purebred ACDH, this breed produces phenomenal crosses that excel in numerous disciplines.
Though we strive to save the purebred American Cream Draft, we believe that some ACDH blood in a horse, is better than none!
Introducing BLK Joker's Flash
We are excited to announce that this phenomenal ACDH stallion will be standing here on our family farm!
Our dear friend and business partner is finally ready to start her 5 year old upcoming stallion Flash's breeding carrier and we are honored that he will be standing from our farm!
We will update this page with his full stallion profile and more details very soon, but for now this is what is most important. Flash is 16hh, homozygous champagne, PSSM and JEB neg.
Flash has a very kind disposition and is an absolute gentlemen. He spends most of his time just wanting to be cuddled like a big baby. He will be started under saddle and harness this year as Jess (his owner) wanted to give him time to physically mature a little before starting him in work.
